Brethren,

On Monday June 15th State Senator John Nelson sponsored an amendment in his Senate Natural Resources and Infrastructure Committee to add the Masonic Fraternity Special License Plate to SB 1017, which seeks to establish a Multiple Sclerosis Special Plate in Arizona.

Both the amendment and SB1017 were passed in this committee. Now is the time for all interested parties to immediately contact their State Senators & Representatives by email or phone to urge swift passage of SB 1017.

Please make your voice heard and also forward this to every Arizona voter in your address book and urge them to contact their legislators as well and urge support of Senate Bill 1017.

In Brotherly Love,

Michael A. Meier

The Time To Contact Your Arizona State Senators & Representatives is NOW if you want the Masonic Fraternity plate this year, do not delay, call or email TODAY!

The Governor vetoed the bill with the AZ Masonic License Plate attachment. It showed the payouts going to individuals rather than the several Masonic charities. There is no line item veto available on this type of bill so she had no choice. I don't know the particulars on how this error occurred. Next time.

Brothers,
It has taken four years to get this completed, but the Masonic License Plate bill passed and the Governor has signed it into law.
RWB Michael A. Meier and I stared this journey by actually presenting a completed bill on disc to the House Sponser and Legislative
Council.

I want to thank Leg Council for their cooperation and guidance. Without the support and tenacity of Rep. Judy Burgess, (Brother) Rep.
Jerry Weiers and Sen. Linda Gray, this effort would not have been successful. We need to thank Rep. Judy Burgess for standing strong
on the stand alone bill that is now law. A number of Legislators attempted to add items to the House Bill but Rep Burgres repeatedly said
"NO".

Contact RWB Michael Meier at meiercastle@cox.net for a frequently asked questions document.
